Future announces Maximum Tech magazine
Future US, the special-interest media company, has announced the launch of Maximum Tech, a new quarterly magazine and online channel coming 21 September that will cover the ever-expanding world of personal technology and consumer electronics. With hard-hitting reviews, how-to articles, and features exploring the latest gear and tech trends, Maximum Tech is designed to help readers make informed buying decisions and get the most out of gadgets and technological advancements.
"Personal technology has moved far beyond the family room and home office. It's embedded in every aspect of our lives, from home security and kitchen appliances, to the vehicles we drive and even the clothes and accessories we wear," said John Marcom, president of Future US. "Our readers trust us to deliver the news and insight they need to keep up with our changing world. Maximum Tech fills a gap in existing coverage, creating a new home where readers will learn everything they need to know about the personal technologies that impact their lives."
Each quarter, Maximum Tech will go beyond PC and Apple systems to cover the broader, constantly changing world of personal technology. An initial "special issue" of Maximum Tech will hit newsstands on 21 September, 2010 with a cover price of $9.99.
The new Maximum Tech online channel will also launch on the same day at MaximumPC.com, delivering lab-tested product reviews, how-to tutorials and Maximum PC-style "techsplanation" articles.
