Condé Nast’s Wired magazine won launch of the year at the recent British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Awards 2009 in London.

The magazine, which launched in April this year with the May issue, was commended by judges for being "a beautifully crafted, forward-thinking magazine that gives its readers an informed and intelligent insight into the future."

Other award winners included Elle, Empire, Men’s Health and Lonely Planet.
