Magazine Brand Management Certificate
FIPP created the Magazine Management Certificate in 2005. Over the eight programmes more than 100 participants, from some 30 countries, have attended the course and the programme, sponsored by UPM has gone from strength to strength.
In this ever-evolving world of publishing, executives from a print magazine background need to learn to adapt to the demands of the multi-platform consumer. Successful magazine brand management requires the coordination and integration of many disparate disciplines such as strategic planning, editorial, advertising, building the brand, sales and distribution, finance, international licensing and digital platforms.
The FIPP Magazine Brand Management Certificate (MBMC) is a practical, experience-based, modular programme. It covers the knowledge areas and management skills required by publishing professionals who are looking to take their careers to the highest level.
Digital Publishing Course
In 2009, FIPP developed a new programme this time aimed at magazine publishers looking at digital publishing as a new revenue stream.
The Digital Publishing Course (DPC) has been designed to equip magazine publishing executives with the knowledge, insight and skills to develop lucrative and successful digital publishing models. This practical and interactive course focuses on the strategies used by the most successful and entrepreneurial magazine website publishers. The intensive three-day course offers a mix of both high-level strategy and technical detail. After attending this course you will understand how different digital strategies work and which are appropriate for your organisation.
The next Digital Publishing Course will take place in 2014.
