11 reasons why you should attend DIS 2015

Over the years, the Digital Innovators’ Summit (DIS) has become synonymous with internet and media innovation within the media and related worlds, with top international speakers (from both pure-play and established environments), high-level delegates and a commercial exhibition all contributing to the sharing of latest ideas, knowledge and business opportunities at the event.

The 2015 DIS takes place from 23-24 March in Berlin, Germany – with a hackathon on 21-22 March and Berlin city and startup tours on 22 March.

As we work towards 2015, you now have the opportunity to register for the Summit (23-24 March) at a discounted pre-agenda rate, with 100s of euros in savings for those who register early:

11 reasons why you should consider attending:
  1. DIS 2015 – organised by FIPP, VDZ and eMediaSF, will be the eighth annual Summit. Over the years, delegates have given us a resounding thumbs up for the event.
  2. In 2014, more than 40 international speakers shared insights with delegates.
  3. On a rating scale of 0 to 4 (with 0 to 1 being poor and 3 to 4 exceptional), delegates rated the quality of the overall programme 3.23 and the expo – including a wearable computing zone with Google Glass and others – 3.22.
  4. In 2012, 452 delegates attended the Summit, in 2013 499 attended and in 2014 550 attended, with more than 40 per cent of them repeat attendees giving their stamp of approval to the DIS.
  5. In 2014, delegates came from 30+ countries, made up of senior executives (40 per cent), commercial, digital and editorial executives (56 per cent) and non-executives and consultants (4 per cent).
  6. The 3 top speakers ever – as rated by the DIS audience after each event – all spoke in 2014 (Steve Hannah of The Onion, Frank Anton of Hanley Wood and Scott Lamb of Buzzfeed).
  7. Other top 10 speakers ever included speakers from Forbes, The New York Times, and Salesforce, to name a few.
  8. Over the years, we’ve had speakers from a range of companies including Audi, Axel Springer, BMW, Conde Nast, CrossCut Ventures, The Economist, Facebook, Financial Times, G+J, Google, Guardian, Hearst, Huffington Post, Immediate Media, IPC Media, The New York Times, Quartz/The Atlantic, Sanoma Ventures, Tumblr, Twitter, Zumobi and more.
  9. Overall, delegates have rated by far the most DIS speakers as very good to exceptional, meaning excellent value for those attending.
  10. In 2014, we introduced several extensions to the DIS – startup presentations, a media hackathon, Berlin startup tours and a DI Tour to the USA (in May 2014) – highly rated by participants and extensions on which we will build in 2015 (more news about these soon).
  11. Each DIS includes several opportunities for formal and informal networking, as delegates meet to establish contacts and/or renew friendships. 2015 will see us build on these opportunities to add to the overall DIS experience.
