Future makes senior content appointments

Pierce becomes editorial director of Future‘s design, games and photography portfolios, while Newman takes responsibility for the film, music and technology titles.

Pierce has spent the last three years heading up the content and marketing for Future’s photography and design portfolios and Newman steps up from his previous role as group editor-in-chief of Future’s technology group.

Joe McEvoy, managing director of Future’s Magazine Division said: “Matt and Paul are a formidable editorial leadership team, combining the strength of Future’s magazine heritage with a passion to innovate and grow. I am delighted to have them on my team and know they will be an important factor in our division’s future success.”

The company says the new division will bring a deeper focus to magazines, developing the current brands and providing a platform for further print innovation.
