Rudy Konyushkov named chief technology officer, Hearst Magazines International

Konyushkov will continue to serve as CTO of Hearst Shkulev Media (HSM), a Russian joint venture of Hearst Magazines International. The announcement was made by Phil Wiser, chief technology officer of Hearst Corporation, and Simon Horne, senior vice president, chief financial officer and general manager of Hearst Magazines International, to whom Konyushkov will report. He will be based in New York City and Moscow.

Konyushkov has managed HSM’s large-scale cross-departmental transformation initiatives and change programs in technology and strategic sourcing since 2000, overseeing sourcing, customisation and deployment of various financial and data analytics as well as manufacturing and digital asset management systems. Konyushkov began his career at the Russian weekly magazine Ogonyok where he led the company’s transformation from “scissors and glue” functionality to digital technology in 1994.

“Rudy has been a great asset at Hearst Shkulev Media, and I’m thrilled to have him take on a broader role at Hearst Magazines International and the more than 80 countries in which we operate,” Wiser said. “He has exceptional intuition and prowess in the technology management and strategic sourcing arenas and his oversight will be key as we intensify forward motion on initiatives around the world.”
