Stuff announces new global editor-in-chief

Guy is a journalist and broadcaster with over 10 years experience in the technology sector. He previously held the position of Editor of the UK’s biggest video games website, GameSpot, for four years. Prior to that, he launched CNET in the UK.

More recently, Guy has worked as a technology consultant and contributor to the BBC, Sky News, Wired and many more leading magazines and websites (including, of course, Stuff).

Alastair Lewis, Stuff’s Brand Director, said: ‘Guy was an outstanding candidate in an incredible field of applicants for this role.

‘He has proven experience launching two global websites, each time working as part of an international network. He has a great profile in the industry, and real passion for and understanding of the Stuff brand.

‘I am very much looking forward to working with Guy as we develop Stuff and grow the digital presence via our network of sites and magazine properties.

‘I am extremely confident that Guy’s approach and experience will enable us to take Stuff to places we’ve never been before.’

Cocker added: ‘It’s a huge honour to be joining Stuff. It’s a brand that I’ve long loved and admired, and I can’t wait to be a part of this enormously talented and dedicated team.’

Cocker replaces the previous Global Editor-in-Chief, Will Findlater, who took the position of Global Editor-in-Chief with Bike Radar, based in Immediate Media’s Bristol office.
