The deadline for entries for the 2020 FIPP & UPM Rising Stars in Media Awards is today, submit your application now!
The deadline for entries for the 2020 FIPP / UPM Rising Stars in Media Awards is midnight tonight. Entries are still encouraged across all categories :
- Student Award – new for 2020, open to university students (or teams of students) from media, journalism and publishing courses across the world, to demonstrate success in project work delivered as part of their course;
- Individual Award (Journalism) – we’re looking for the best examples of quality, hard-hitting journalism from new journalists across the world. This award is open to anyone working for a reputable media outlet – whether news, entertainment, B2B or specialist. Journalism can be in any format – written, audio or video;
- Individual Award (Business) – we’re looking for the most talented individuals in any aspect of the media business. Entries can come from any non-journalism field, including marketing, sales, distribution, research and operations (this list is not exhaustive);
The individual awards are open to anyone who is either under 30 years of age or has been in the media industry for less than 5 years.
The Awards are established as one of the most prestigious and important recognitions of young talent in the industry. Winners will be featured as part of the forthcoming FIPP Congress, with the overall winner, chosen from amongst all the individual award winners, winning the coveted title of “FIPP Rising Star of the Year” and a seat on the FIPP Board for a year. All shortlisted applicants also get a free ticket to this year’s FIPP Congress.
