Cafeyn announces the death of CEO and founder Ari Assuied

The Cafeyn Group has announced the sudden death of its CEO and founder, Ari Assuied, on 6 October at the age of 45.

In a statement, Cafeyn described Assuied as someone who was “deeply passionate about the press and media industry”.

“It is with great shock and sadness that the Cafeyn Group announces the sudden death of its CEO and founder, Ari Assuied.

“He dedicated his career to build and develop a group that has been working for 16 years to provide unparalleled access to diversified and quality information. The entire Cafeyn team shares the deep sorrow of his family and dearest friends.”

Cafeyn’s board has appointed Laurent Kayser as interim CEO. Kayser has been Deputy CEO of the Cafeyn Group since May 2022. He joined as CFO in 2018 after working for over 10 years in investment banking and investment funds.
