Harper’s Bazaar’s Women of the Year Awards return for 2025

By pairing its editorial authority with the prestige of long-term partnerships, the legacy brand continues to evolve while remaining true to its DNA

Harper’s Bazaar UK has announced the return of its Women of the Year Awards, the long-running celebration of exceptional women who have shaped the cultural landscape across fashion, film, art, philanthropy, and beyond. Now in its eighteenth year, the event has become a defining moment in Harper’s Bazaar’s editorial calendar – both as a showcase of female achievement and as a reflection of the brand’s enduring cultural influence.

This year’s ceremony will take place on 6 November 2025 at Claridge’s, with The Platinum Card® by American Express returning as headline partner. The partnership continues a collaboration that aligns Harper’s Bazaar’s celebration of creativity and cultural leadership with Amex’s focus on supporting the arts, culture, and innovation.

Other partners include Dr. Barbara Sturm (spa and skincare), De Beers (jewellery), Laurent-Perrier (champagne), and Range Rover (automotive).

Over nearly two decades, Bazaar’s Women of the Year Awards have honoured some of the most recognisable and influential women in modern culture – from Victoria Beckham, Kylie Minogue, and Anya Taylor-Joy to Janelle Monáe, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, and the late Dame Jilly Cooper. This year’s honourees will once again span fields including art, fashion, film, sport, and literature, with categories such as Cultural Icon, Breakthrough, Entrepreneur, and Sportswoman of the Year.

To accompany the event, Bazaar will release a set of collector’s edition covers for its December/January issue (out 7 November), a visual tribute to the women shaping the year ahead. These special editions have become sought-after items for readers and collectors alike, reinforcing the brand’s reputation for timeless print craft and cultural relevance in the digital age.

Lydia Slater, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar UK, said the event remains central to Bazaar’s mission:

“It’s a privilege to continue Bazaar’s tradition of honouring the courage, creativity and compassion of the women who shape our culture and our future, redefining success on their own terms.”
