Central and South American market analysis at FIPP Ibero-American Conference

Day two of the 4th FIPP Ibero-American Magazine Media Conference began today (31 October) by taking a closer look at the markets in the Central and South American region.

More than 200 attendees listened to presentations from advertisers to begin with, and Jose Carlos de Mier, media and brand innovation manager, Audi, USA showcased some of the things the brand is doing to curate content. De Mier encouraged attendees to create stories around their brands, and said: “Brand stories provoke conversations between consumers, and we react to those conversations 365 days per-year.” Cutaring content is important to the brand, and De Mier showed examples of other brands curating content in different ways, with one example being Coca Cola, who creates its own video content.

The two-day conference included a 15 stand exhibition, with companies including Applix, Editoria Abril, Magzter, Mondadori, Newspaper Direct and Zinio, who met with attendees during the event in order to showcase their products and services.
