As data collected by the Pew Research Center suggests, the young do read, and they actually read more than the older generations, at least when it comes to the news.
However, the young don’t take to paper anymore. Those under the age of 50 go online to get their headline fix. Those who are over 50 years of age show greater affinity to watching their news on television. When they do read, they prefer the newspaper much more than the younger.
