Future acquires APC and TechLife in Australia

Future has acquired Australian technology brands APC and TechLife from Bauer Media Group. The acquisition includes the associated magazines, digital editions and websites.

Mark Wood, CEO of Future, said: “The acquisition of APC and TechLife is the next stage in Future’s strategy of building a global technology content business around TechRadar, our top digital brand, and T3.com. We are delighted to bring these two high-quality technology titles into Future, adding to our strong positions in the UK and US markets, and we look forward to building on their success and their impressive audience reach to become Australia’s leading technology publisher.”

APC and TechLife will join Future’s existing Australian tech and gaming portfolio, which includes www.techradar.com.au, technology and lifestyle brand Australian T3 and www.pcgamer.com.

Neville Daniels, COO of Future Australia, said: “APC and TechLife are incredibly strong brands in the Australian technology sector – both engage large, loyal audiences of tech-savvy, influential early adopters. Our clear ambition is to develop this portfolio across platforms, to become Australia’s leading technology publisher. TechRadar – which already has over one million Australian monthly uniques only 10 months after launch – has already exceeded our expectations, and these new additions to the portfolio will accelerate our growth plan.”
