How mobile event apps can increase your event sponsorship

CVent annual mobile benchmark report ()

In early 2017, mobile apps accounted for nearly half of global internet traffic a figure that continues to grow rapidly. Event organisers leverage the power of mobile event apps to create engaging, personalised experiences for attendees, and to showcase sponsors. But do they work and how do you get the best out of them?

Cvent has released its second annual mobile benchmark report with data pooled from 1,465 events across the globe. The data is separated into three groups: the overall average, High Performers (events in the top 25 per cent), and Top Performers (events in the top 10 per cent). The report highlights how meetings and events professionals are achieving and exceeding their event goals using a mobile event app and summarises simple steps event organisers can take to boost their mobile app metrics.

One of the key findings is the rising rate of event app adoption which has increased by 15 per cent year-on-year to 63 per cent. This means nearly two-thirds of attendees are now downloading and using the event apps available. Mobile event apps are becoming more prevalent, and attendees not only look for mobile event apps, but they expect them. The more events use mobile apps, the more in demand they’ll be.
