Condé Nast’s Glamour to launch innovative super-sized edition

Condé Nast fashion title Glamour’s UK edition will launch 20 per cent of its March 2014 edition print run in a larger format.

Glamour, which is published in ‘handbag size’, aims to give its readers a more ‘lean back experience’ with this special edition. Said Jo Elvin, editor of Glamour: “Our pioneering handbag size remains the number one choice, while we’re very excited to be able to offer our fashion hungry readers this alternative format – a real collectors’ item for the all-important collections issue.”

Simon Kippin, publishing director of Glamour, said “It’s all about the ability to connect our clients with our audience through a variety of platforms, whether print or digital.  With this additional print option, the new season pieces and campaigns will be available to our readers whether they enjoy the portable or the more ‘lean back’ environment.”

The March issue of Glamourwill be followed by subsequent selected issues available in a choice of formats. The size of the alternative issue will be 285mm x 215mm – similar to Vogue UK.
