Hearst appoints Guardian Labs exec to implement global digital advertising strategy

Hearst Magazines Digital Media (HMDM) has appointed Jason Kleinman vice president of brand solutions. In this new role, Kleinman, formerly senior vice president of Guardian Labs and brand partnerships at Guardian News & Media, will implement global digital advertising strategy across Hearst Magazines in the US and international markets, translating industry solutions into innovative, scalable, effective ad offerings.

Kleinman brings 20 years of experience to the role. Before the Guardian US, he was director of product marketing at the New York Timesresponsible for the creation of custom advertising products and the development of branded content solutions. Earlier in his career, he held roles in digital brand strategy, business development, and production at Columbia University DKV, Siegel + Gale, and Thirteen/WNET.

“Jason will provide a critical bridge between the product, sales, audience, and edit teams to offer holistic opportunities to marketers,” said Troy Young, president of Hearst Magazines Digital Media. “From display ad products and branded content creation to data and research, Jason will play an incredibly important role as we continue to extend our unified platform and suite of ad products to the global Hearst network.”
