Immediate Media strives to help its audiences get the best from the things they love, which makes them super-engaged consumers. We create platform solutions, delivering content where consumers need it, and we’re developing innovative data and technology capabilities to unlock new value from our audiences. Our brands inspire real passion and form loyal communities. And our success is based on the quality of our people.
We are excited to be hosting one of the sessions on the FIPP London MediaTour and look forward to welcoming media executives to our offices. We have carefully chosen three different areas of the business for you to take a closer look at:
Radio Times is almost 93 years old – and remains at the heart of the national conversation. Stuart Forrest, Digital Publisher, will discuss how we transformed the UK’s biggest magazine brand into a 360-degree multi-platform operation, growing out a range of thriving digital platforms.
We’re also the UK’s leader in the Weddings media sector, but our insight identified a bigger opportunity. Last year we acquired and integrated hitched into our Weddings Network. As the UK’s leading digital planning tool for brides-to-be it provided us with a marketplace platform – turning our existing influence into a data-driven partnership opportunity. Both Julie Harris, Group Managing Director and Matthew Gerry, MD Immediate Weddings Network, will talk us through what we did and what our plans for exploiting this further are.
And our latest acquisition takes our data and ecommerce ambitions a step further. As a leader in Craft publishing, we recognised that the centre of gravity in that economy was in transactions – in the UK alone worth £3.5bn. Jewellery Maker is a TV shopping brand which allows us to develop our data and transactions capabilities, as well as create a new platform opportunity. Francois-Regis Coumau, Group Managing Director and Colin Wagstaffe, MD Jewellery Maker, will share their achievements to date and ambitions for 2016 and beyond.
Immediate Media is just one of 12 media and digital companies who have confirmed that they will be part of the London Media Tour programme. To read who else is on the Tour, click on the ‘Programme’ tab, on our website.
