Magazine sales in France better in 2014 than the previous year

Magazines were down 5.4 per cent, with women’s magazines down 4.3%.

Paid-for newspapers declined 4.1 per cent in 2014 (compared with more than 6 per cent in 2013). Regional weeklies were down 1.5 per cent. 

Daily newspapers benefited from digital circulations (available as online downloads and via streaming). Speaking to lesEchos.fr, deputy directory of OJD, Philippe Rincé said that monthlies and quaterlies benefited less from digital delivery.
