Reach joins Dennis in signing new Taboola deal

Reach plc, publisher of The Mirror, Express, Daily Star, OK! Magazine, and more, has extended its partnership with discovery engine Taboola, across its entire network of 50 sites. It’s the second mainstream UK publisher in as many weeks to renew its partnership with the platform, as we last week reported that Dennis had done the same

The company has already reportedly experienced a 65% increase in revenue through its use of Taboola Feed, as well as a 30% rise in traffic across newsbrands. Reach will also expand the implementation of Taboola’s Explore More product across all 50 of its sites – an offering designed to keep users visiting publisher sites directly from social media and apps, increasing engagement.

Terry Hornsby, Group Digital Director at Reach said: “Taboola has made a positive impact in driving revenue and traffic for Reach sites. We are looking forward to expanding our long-standing partnership further with more engaging and personalised content that meets the needs of our diverse and wide-reaching digital audience.”

As part of the deal, the publisher will also incorporate Taboola’s mid-article placements into its content, allowing for new revenue opportunities and ways to both engage readers and improve the user experience.
