Roberto Civita, chairman of Abril Group, dies aged 76
Roberto Civita, chairman of the board and editorial director of Abril Group died on 26 May 2013 in São Paulo, Brazil, following multiple organ failure after three months in hospital for the correction of an abdominal aneurysm.
Civita leaves his wife Maria Antonia, their sons Giancarlo, Roberta and Victor, six grandchildren and a step-daughter. Roberto leaves a great legacy in the history of Brazilian journalism and the defense of the freedom of speech.
Roberto Civita’s funeral took place on 27 May at the Crematorium Horto da Paz, São Paulo.
