Yves Bougon appointed managing director, East Asia, Hearst Magazines International
Hearst Magazines International has announced that Yves Bougon, CEO of Hearst Fujingaho in Japan since 2011 will add managing director, East Asia to his responsibilities, overseeing the activities of Hearst Magazines in China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong and Korea.
The announcement was made by Duncan Edwards, president and CEO, Hearst Magazines International, to whom Bougon will continue to report. Bougon will assume his new responsibilities on 1 January 2014 and will remain based in Tokyo.
Edwards said: “Yves has launched and overseen the operation of a diverse range of print and digital businesses in Japan, including the September introduction of Harper’s BAZAAR and the e-commerce business, ELLEShop.jp. As we pivot into new areas for growth, Yves will be focused on business development in East Asia. He has a strong management team in Tokyo, and I am pleased that he will share his expertise with the leaders of our companies and our partners in the region.”
