Go behind the scenes of Spanish media innovation: Join the FIPP Barcelona Study Tour
Once the world’s media leaders wrap up in Madrid, a select group will extend the trip with a day inside some of Spain’s most exciting media businesses.
Join us for the FIPP Barcelona Study Tour, where, over the course of the day, you’ll gain first-hand insights into how publishers in Spain are adapting their strategies, innovating their workflows and connecting with new generations.
The tour is hosted by renowned media analyst and innovation expert Juan Señor, President of INNOVATION Media Consulting, and our very own, Nikki Simpson, FIPP Operations director and Founder of the International Magazine Centre.

“If there’s one thing Barcelona has, it’s innovation.
The home of Gaudí , Picasso and chef Ferran Adriá and so many other iconoclasts. And as we always say in Barcelona, innovation is not imitation.
That applies to publishers too. With a distinctive Catalan flair, they’re constantly looking for new ways to innovate their business models, their editorial formulas and the way they connect with audiences.
I’m really looking forward to hosting this Study Tour after the FIPP Congress and showing you some of Barcelona’s most innovative publishers. Do join me in Barcelona!”
Beyond the company visits, there’s time built in to enjoy Barcelona itself: an optional evening tour of Casa Batlló, Gaudí’s extraordinary building in the heart of the city, follows by a farewell dinner with the group.
