FIPP World Media Congress 2023
The 45th FIPP World Media Congress takes place from 6-8 June 2023 in Cascais, Portugal on the outskirts of Lisbon.
Building on our successful event in June 2022 at the same venue, Congress 2023 will bring together people from a cross-section of media and technology sectors worldwide.
We will explore key industry topics with the foremost global experts. Network, and build professional connections while enjoying the best of what Portugal has to offer.
Congress takes place at the historical Cidadela, on the new marina and in the heart of town with its multiple shops, restaurants and bars. You can view the location by going here.
Limited time offer
If you plan to attend the Congress, we recommend booking your hotel rooms soon. Cascais is a popular destination, and with limited hotel rooms near the centre, supply and demand will cause prices to rise significantly for that time of year.
A number of rooms have been reserved at a discounted rate by our event partners, Di5rupt – but those are all under a deadline, which is about to expire:
- Pestana Cidadela (Congress venue hotel) and its sister hotel Pestana Cascais: Our first room block with the best discount expires on 2 December.
- Grand Real Villa Italia (5-star hotel): Our first and final room block expires on 20 November

Programme
Last year, we saw over 70 speakers take to the stage over the 3 days, including Conde Nast, National Geographic, Dotdash Meredith, BBC, FT, The Economist, Dow Jones, Netflix and others. Hundreds of delegates got together and enjoyed various new activities – the walking and running clubs, health spa and VIP lounge amongst others.
Working with our partners at Di5rupt and with the pandemic behind us, we’re going even bigger – building a programme of world-class speakers, networking opportunities and additional activities, with preliminary speaker announcements coming soon…
