Cath Waller appointed MD of Advertising at Immediate Media

Special interest content and platform company Immediate Media has announced the appointment of Cath Waller as its MD of Advertising.

Waller will have overall responsibility for Immediate’s entire commercial team, across Sales, Creative & Content, Social, AdTech, Planops, Commercial Data and Insight, and will report to Immediate Platforms CEO, Sean Cornwell.

Waller has held senior sales leadership positions for almost 20 years and has been with Immediate since its formation in 2011, most recently as Commercial Director of Immediate’s content studio Imagine, which she launched in 2016. Under her leadership, Imagine has established its reputation as one of the leading in-house studios in the industry, winning multiple awards, and significantly growing revenues year-on-year.

“Cath is a passionate and energetic commercial leader, with excellent strategic and creative skills, and is hugely respected both within Immediate and the wider industry,” said Cornwell. “She has a proven track record of building, developing, and motivating high performing teams across both digital and print. I really looking forward to working with Cath as we look to accelerate our commercial growth across multiple channels.”

Following Waller’s appointment as MD of Advertising, Beth Shirazi, Partnerships Director, will lead the Imagine Partnerships team, working closely with Rob Hunt who takes on the role of Creative Partnerships Director, focusing on driving creative innovation across the team. Jonathan Bown, Commercial Content Director, will lead Immediate’s Imagine Studio, delivering all Immediate’s commercial content.
