Digital Media Europe 2022: WAN-IFRA’s in-person event to explore reader revenue in depth

In a couple of weeks, WAN-IFRA’s Digital Media Europe conference will welcome back news media executives in-person, to dive deep into reader revenue strategies.

After two years of meeting virtually, the flagship event will take place 1-2 June at the headquarters of Schibsted Media Group in Oslo, Norway. Attending publishers will have the opportunity to hear how some of the most cutting-edge news companies – national, regional and local publishers – are growing their reader revenue business.

Media businesses have emerged strong in 2022, with their events arms in full swing amidst cautious optimism that the worst of Covid-19 is over. Now in its 44th edition, FIPP’s own flagship event, the FIPP World Media Congress, will take place 7-9 June in Cascais, Portugal – the first in-person Congress since 2019. (Tickets available here until 25 May.)

The programme at Digital Media Europe 2022 addresses some of the key issues publishers are tackling with their consumer-driven business: growth, retention, business models, onboarding, customer experience, making audio a part of the mix, and more.

The event is followed by a one-day (sold-out) Study Tour in Oslo, where attendees will visit the numerous premium publishers in Norway’s capital.
