Harper’s Bazaar UK to host seventh annual International Women’s Day Celebration

Harper’s Bazaar UK has announced that it will return with its seventh annual International Women’s Day celebration on 6 March 2025. The event, which aims to honour and promote the achievements of women, will take place at the Corinthia London and is backed by prominent partners including The Caring Family Foundation, the Italian contemporary fine jewellery brand Pomellato, and global chauffeur service Blacklane.

Guests will be treated to a champagne reception followed by a three-course dinner hosted by Lydia Slater, the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief. In addition to the culinary offerings, the evening will feature a series of talks from several notable women who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.

Among the speakers is Geri Halliwell-Horner, the former Spice Girl turned writer and producer, who is expected to address the contemporary meaning of female empowerment. Actress and UNICEF ambassador Gemma Chan will join Zainab Salbi, co-founder of humanitarian organisation Daughters for Earth, for a discussion on the role of women in environmental advocacy.

Lucy Boynton, renowned for her role in Bohemian Rhapsody, will share insights into her upcoming project, A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story—a television miniseries that chronicles the life of the last woman executed in Britain. In a session titled “Harnessing Ambition,” Emma Barnett, the presenter of the BBC Radio 4 Today programme, will reflect on overcoming obstacles to achieve personal success, as featured in her forthcoming book, Maternity Service.

Slater expressed pride in the event’s ability to highlight the power of women, stating, “Our International Women’s Day gala embodies what Harper’s Bazaar stands for, and we look forward to meeting our readers for the seventh edition of our annual celebration.”

The gala will take place from 6.00pm to 11.00pm, promising a night of empowerment and celebration of women’s contributions across various sectors. The engagement of high-profile speakers signifies an effort to not only entertain but inspire dialogue around the ongoing challenges and advancements related to women’s rights and representation today.
