Hearst UK announces the return of Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Hearst UK has today announced the launch of Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards with Armani beauty on board as headline sponsor. The awards ceremony will take place in the autumn of this year at one of London’s most iconic hotels, Claridge’s, for the tenth year running.

Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards launched in 2007 and recognises the outstanding achievements of women in the worlds of fashion, film, art, music, philanthropy, activism and literature. Categories this year will include Artist, Inspiration, Actress, Breakthrough and Icon.  Previous winners include Sarah Gilbert, Lashana Lynch, Victoria Beckham, Jodie Foster, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Gillian Anderson, Kylie Minogue, Michaela Coel, Jane Fonda and Keira Knightley.

This year, Harper’s Bazaar will also be asking their readers to nominate a woman who has done something remarkable for her community in the past 18 months, whether as a key worker, community champion, charity worker or someone who has assisted others during the pandemic. To nominate an amazing woman who is deserving of the accolade of Change Leader, readers are asked to send in a short essay outlining why. More information on the nominations process can be found here.

The winner will be invited to attend the prestigious 2021 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards in person with a guest and to be celebrated alongside the additional winners on the evening. The Change Leader award is intended to highlight the outstanding women across the country working in a variety of fields who have been pillars of strength in the past 18 months.

As headline sponsor of the awards, Armani beauty will be fully integrated across the Harper’s Bazaar platforms.

Lydia Slater, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar said: “Harper’s Bazaar’s Women of the Year Awards bring to life everything that the magazine stands for and are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate exceptional women across fashion, film, art, music, philanthropy and literature.
