Hearst UK appoints Kenya Hunt as new Editor-in-Chief of Elle UK

Hearst UK has appointed Kenya Hunt as the new Editor-in-Chief of Elle UK, overseeing its print, digital and experiential outputs.

Kenya will re-join from Grazia where she was Deputy Editor, having previously held the position of Deputy Editor at Elle UK. Kenya’s career spans working across both sides of the Atlantic for some of the industry’s most prominent titles, and her writing has appeared in the likes of The Washington Post, The Guardian, Essence, Harper’s Bazaar and The Evening Standard.

Kenya is the author of the critically acclaimed book Girl: Essays on Black Womanhood, as well as the founder R.O.O.M Mentoring, where she advocates for greater diversity within the fashion industry. Most recently, Kenya was awarded the prestigious Global Leader of Change Award at the British Fashion Awards for her inspiring work within the fashion industry. 

Kenya will join a pioneering Elle UK team and will be supported by Executive Editors, Natasha Bird and Alice Wignall. She will also be working closely on the commercial side with Jacqueline Euwe, Chief Luxury Officer.

Kenya will start her position as Editor-in-Chief of Elle UK from 7 March 2022.
