Axel Springer initiates closer cooperation of Business Insider and finanzen.net on the US market

Business Insider launched a real-time stock market functionality on BusinessInsider.com that provides dynamic real-time market quotes for individual stocks, mutual funds, indices, commodities and currencies traded around the world. The new functionality can be found on almost every page of Business Insider and includes customised stock quotes relevant to each company-related article on the site. The markets data is provided by finanzen.net. Finanzen.net is the largest German finance data site and brings together with Business Insider its extensive experience with global markets data to the English language market.

Peter Schille, founder and CEO of finanzen.net, explains: “We are excited about the further intensified cooperation with Business Insider and about making our first step in the US market. Business Insider is a fantastic brand with a huge audience, to which our market data tools will be highly relevant.”

Julie Hansen, Business Insider¹s President and COO, explains: “Business Insider has millions of monthly visitors, among them are many active investors. The integration of real-time trading data tremendously increases our value to them.”

“Fidelity Investments” is the exclusive sponsor partnering with Business Insider on the launch of the extended offering of Business Insider.

Besides the activities in Germany and in the US, the cooperation in Poland is also being intensified. Grupa Onet.pl will start a Polish edition of Business Insider in the first half of 2016. The company is part of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG.
