Natasha Bird has been appointed Content Editor of ELLE UK. Formerly Editor-in-Chief of Yahoo Style, Natasha has a wealth of online strategy and content experience, with prior roles including Head of Lifestyle for Yahoo UK and Editor of XWHY Magazine. Natasha will help drive further digital innovation for the brand.

ELLE UK has also appointed Bibby Sowray as Digital News and Features Editor. Bibby joins from The Telegraph where she was Fashion News & Features Editor, primarily working on the Telegraph’s fashion website but also across the paper’s fashion pages and the Telegraph Magazine. Bibby started her career as Junior Editor of Vogue.com. Bibby will manage daily news content for ELLEUK.com.

Cosmopolitan UK has appointed Claire Hodgson as Digital Editor. Previously Acting Digital Editor, Claire joined Cosmopolitan as Senior Writer before being made News & Entertainment Editor. Prior to that, she was Online Entertainment Writer at The Mirror. Claire will oversee the day-to-day running of Cosmopolitan.co.uk and Cosmopolitan’s Snapchat Discover channel. The digital audience for Cosmopolitan has grown more than 135 per cent in the last year, and regularly attracts 6.5m unique visitors every month in the UK*. The brand has also seen continued success on Snapchat since it launched dedicated UK content on the Discover platform in September last year.

Cosmopolitan.co.uk has moved to Hearst’s propriety technology platform, MediaOS, and ELLE UK will follow shortly. The platform allows editorial teams access to up-to-the-minute audience insight, and provides consumers with a better user experience.

Darren Goldsby, Chief Digital Officer of Hearst Magazines UK, says: “Our focus on our digital business and delivering what our consumers want online and on mobile means we are now a top 25 digital network in the UK. These appointments ensure that we are in an excellent position to further expand the growth of both ELLEUK.com and Cosmopolitan.co.uk. Natasha, Bibby and Claire bring a wealth of experience to our influential brands and I am looking forward to working with them.”
