Kalmbach Media acquires Saturn Lounge
Kalmbach Media, a content creator for brands including Astronomy, Discover, Trains, and Model Railroader, announced today that it has acquired the fast-growing digital marketing and creative services agency Saturn Lounge.
The award-winning agency, which is based in Waukesha, US, creates websites, email, social & digital media campaigns, national TV advertising, and marketing videos, as well as photographs and CGI imagery for visual storytelling for a broad range of well-known brands including GE Healthcare, Briggs & Stratton, The American Heart Association, American Orthodontics, Menards, and Werner among others.

Hickey notes that recent research conducted by Kalmbach of their marketing partners reflected an increased demand for digital and video marketing services. “Marketers continue to shift their resources toward media companies that understand how to help them fully leverage their brand story with consumers and customers.”
As part of the acquisition, Saturn Lounge President Jim Kohlhardt will continue to oversee the company and become a Senior Vice President at Kalmbach reporting to Hickey. The company will continue to operate from its current offices in Waukesha as an independent division of Kalmbach. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
