Magenta Media to launch Italian edition of Lonely Planet magazine
With the addition of the Italian magazine, Lonely Planet now publishes 14 international magazine products globally.
Piers Pickard, publishing director at Lonely Planet, said, “It’s fantastic to see our award-winning magazine now available in Italy. Our brand is already incredibly strong among Italian readers. An Italian edition of the magazine is well placed to benefit from this and will build on this significant brand presence in the country.”
Leonardo Donato, publisher at Magenta Media, said, “We’re very proud and eager to embrace this opportunity. Lonely Planet’s authority is recognised the world over and this will be firmly-rooted in the creation of a quality Italian magazine with high editorial standards page after page.”
Lonely Planet Italy magazine will be edited by journalist, Federico Geremei, and will be published bi-monthly. The first issue will be on sale in spring 2019.
