Media x Women podcast wins Signal Awards

Media x Women, the independent organisation dedicated to women on the rise in media, has scooped two Signal Awards for Excellence in Podcasting.

How She Made It, a show that amplifies the accomplishments of women across the media industry, won two gongs in the Education category – the gold Listener’s Choice award determined by public voting, and bronze from the Signal Academy judges.

With the Education category, the Signal Awards – which honours and celebrates people and content that raise the bar for podcasting – recognises shows that educate their listeners through narrative, interviews, reviews, conversations, or other formats.

Hosted by Sonia Case, the How She Made It series – which is available on Apple, Spotify, Audible and Google – features women who share their career path experiences and offer advice to help future media makers and managers.

Guests have included Hillary Cutter, Founder and Executive Producer at Cutter Entertainment; Helene Estes, Coordinator at MediaLink; and New York-based writer and director, Iris Dukatt.
