FIPP President & CEO, James Hewes, will speak at the UK Publishing Show next month, with the event set to take place on 8-9 March 2022 at the ExCeL London. Following the resounding popularity of Google Digital Immersion Week last year, held in partnership with FIPP and FT Strategies, Hewes will present lessons learned from the programme, which continues later this month.
Speaking recently on the Taking Chances podcast, James highlighted the importance of investing in both proven and emerging media strategies:
“So there is this kind of – almost a duality – in the industry, which is being pulled between two different poles. On the one hand, the print business is still so fundamentally important to the current financial status of the business. But from both an investor pov and for the futureproofing of the business, the publishers know that they need to have a digital hat on… they need to have digital investments and digital growth.”
