PressReader releases app update

Digital news reader service PressReader has released an updated version of its iOS and Android app.
Key features in the updated app include:
  • Categories: find new special interest titles faster with the ability to further filter by interests, language, country and publication type
  • SmartFlow: read full stories in a horizontal news stream format
  • PageView: read full publications or pages just as they appear in print
  • Bookmarks: store, organise and automatically sync articles across devices for later reading, reference or sharing
  • Radio: choose articles or publications from the app and have them read out loud; the perfect companion to stay up-to-date with news on-the-go
  • Translation: instantly translate stories in up to 17 languages; see different perspectives about news from around the world
“We are revolutionising how people connect through news, and this update is, without a doubt, the most feature-rich and entertaining digital newsstand app for quality content from thousands of sources,” said Alexander Kroogman, CEO of PressReader.
The updated app is available on iOS and Android immediately with versions for BlackBerry 10 and Windows 8 following soon.
