Adrian Weser appointed chairman of the FIPP Research Committee
Adrian Weser, head of research and marketing at Bauer Media, Germany, has been appointed chairman of FIPP’s Research Committee, with immediate effect. Weser has been an active member of the committee for many years, and a regular participant at FIPP’s research events.
Weser takes over from Nicolas Cour who stepped down from the chairmanship of the FIPP Research Committee in view of his change of job from Prisma Presse to become the managing director of Audipresse in France. Cour was thanked for his hard work as chairman over the last four years, and will continue as a member of the FIPP Research Committee.
Taking up the new position, Weser said: “The key issue for FIPP’s Research Committee is to filter from media research worldwide the best methods, solutions and findings. The international perspective opens the mind to new ideas and new approaches. There is great value in sharing knowledge and experiences. So the FIPP Research Committe is an important part of FIPP‘s activities. I feel honored to be chosen as the Chairman.”
Commenting on the appointment, Chris Llewellyn, FIPP President and CEO, said: “Adrian Weser is ideally positioned to guide the FIPP Research Committee due to his extensive experience not only at Bauer Media Group but as a longstanding member of the Committee. The Committee will gain from his knowledge and we welcome him and look forward to working with him to develop the FIPP research activities. ”
Adrian will oversee, with the Committee, the planning and programming of the next Research Forum and Awards to be held in Barcelona 23-24 May.
