Brazilian media owners, Abril and Globo, along with their respective foundations, the Victor Civita Foundation and the Roberto Marinho Foundation, are set to join forces to recognise the work of educators in both the public and private school system.
“It is a great pleasure to have the Roberto Marinho Foundation and Globo join the Victor Civita Foundation and Abril in support of Education in our country. The opportunity to support the ‘Educador Nota 10’, such an important award for the country’s educators in the country, is a valuable experience. The award acknowledges more than just curricular education: it also places a high value on training new educators in a world full of challenges”, commented José Roberto Marinho, vice president of social responsibility for Globo.
Fábio Barbosa, CEO of Abril, said: “The concept behind the award is to appreciate the educator who is the front lines of the education process. We are pleased to have this partnership, which represents more efforts around the same cause: achieving quality education in Brazil. This alliance will allow the award to be more effective in terms of teacher recognition and in disseminating good educational practices”.
