BurdaInternational acquires consumer magazine division of Media Transasia India

More than eight titles will be added to Burda’s Indian portfolio, with the acquisition of Media Transasia India’s (MTI) consumer magazine portfolio.
The acquired titles include Travel & Leisure South Asia, Better Homes & Gardens and Sports Illustrated.
Julie Sherborn, CEO of Hubert Burda Media Asia (pictured) said: “India plays a key role in the Burda’s international expansion strategy. The country’s strong economic fundamentals, young population and dynamic growth ideas together with an increasing digitisation and growing consumerism make it a very appealing investment destination for us.”
