In tandem with Bon Appétit’s February 2017 issue, which is fully dedicated to the healthyish lifestyle, the launch of this new recipe- and video-focused platform includes 30 new videos, a collection of brand-new recipes, plus essays, profiles, and trend stories.

“At some point a while back, we at Bon Appétit started using a word that sums up the way so many of us eat now, and that’s healthyish,” says Amanda Shapiro, editor of the site. “So we created healthyish as a community for people who feel the same.”

“We wanted to hear from a range of voices on how they live healthyish,” said senior projects editor Julia Kramer. “I’m particularly excited to be featuring essays from two of my personal favourite writers, Jenna Wortham and Jia Tolentino, as part of our Guide to Self Care.”

Healthyish is the first brand that Bon Appétit will launch in 2017, with others to be revealed in Q3. While healthyish will have its own distinct URL and voice, longtime fans of Bon Appétit will enjoy the same quality-tested recipes and advice that they’ve come to know and love from the food and culture magazine, now in its seventh year under editor in chief Adam Rapoport.

“We all want to be healthy,” says Rapoport. “But isn’t it a lot more fun being healthyish?”
