Cycling Plus launches circuit sportive series

The Castle Combe event is the first in a series of beginner-friendly Sportives starting and finishing at race circuits and cycling tracks around the country.

Of particular appeal to cyclists for Cycling Plus will be that they can cycle with the editorial team as they lead 50 and 100km routes (1207ft /2105 ft climbing) around the south west Cotswolds. The event HQ will be based at Castle Combe Circuit near Chippenham in Wiltshire (SN14 7EY). The second sportive of the series is due to take place on the 10th April at Lee Valley VeloPark in London. Race entry will be open in early 2016.

According to Rob Spedding: “I am delighted to announce Cycling Plus’ first series of sportives. With our unrivalled knowledge of riding in the UK, we are delighted to be hosting our first event at Castle Combe in Wiltshire, one of the most beautiful villages in England. With a second event planned for the Velopark, this is the perfect way to bring our brand to life and closer to our readers and new riders alike.”

Entry to the Castle Combe event is £30
