FIPP Insider events return to live format

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for… FIPP has this week confirmed that is will stage its first ‘real-life’ event of the post-pandemic era at the end of the month. FIPP Insider Portugal will be hosted in conjunction with API – The Portuguese Publishing Association, on Wednesday 30th March.

Popular both before and during the pandemic – when the format switched to a virtual – FIPP Insiders provide a free and accessible shortform flavour of current industry trends in both local markets and internationally.

The March 30th incarnation will take place in Lisbon, itself an emerging media tech hub with a thriving start-up scene. Highlights from the afternoon’s agenda will include:

  • Global media trends post-Covid: FIPP President & CEO, James Hewes, presents local lessons from FIPP’s international network.
  • From selling advertising to selling leads: Christian Siebert, GM Funke One, Funke Media Group, shares key insights from the German publisher’s cross-platform consumer test brand.
  • View from the top: Panel Discussion featuring a selection of experts from different sectors of the industry.
  • And of course: plenty of opportunity for coffee and networking!

The event precedes FIPP Congress 2022 in June, which itself is taking place live for the first time in two years and itself also taking place in Portugal.

As lockdowns begin to end and media markets around the world start to return to some semblance of normality, FIPP expects to announce a wider programme of physical events – Insider and otherwise – for 2022, and you can find out more here
