WPP’s Group M has upgraded its forecasts for advertising revenue growth in UK to seven per cent in both 2015 and 2016 as “bullish” adspend strongly outpaces economic growth.
Britain’s biggest media buyer said ad revenue this year will rise from six per cent to seven per cent and Group M is now as upbeat about next year after previously forecasting growth would slow.
Group M has hiked its forecast for 2016 from five to seven per cent, taking annual expenditure on advertising to £17bn.
