In case you missed it: subscribe to new FIPP Insight newsletter
A new monthly e-newsletter focused on research and innovation, FIPP Insight, was launched last month. If you missed it, subscribe here now to receive the newsletter which is emailed on the last Thursday of every month. It highlights new research, new resources and new marketing initiatives from around the world, providing – free – the tools to inform and develop magazine media knowledge for media owners, brand managers, agencies and advertisers.
The first edition featured a round-up of recent research underlining the continuing health and strength of magazine media by Guy Consterdine, FIPP research consultant. The article focused on opportunities for publishers on digital platforms with a research report from GfK MRI, “Delving into the opportunity for tablet magazine advertising” plus a case study commissioned by Times Inc, “Cross platform sales impact: cracking the code on single source”. In addition Gruner + Jahr’s “Success Barometer” measured the advertising effect across multiple media and Meredith Corporation’s “Sales Guarantee” looked at the effectiveness of advertising in printed magazines on their own.

FIPP members indicated in our 2013 membership survey they put tremendous value on the research our members or we conduct and share, to develop insight into the challenges and opportunities existing in the marketplace. The survey found that the key issues of interest for members were innovation, media trends and online publishing, all of which are covered in our research publications – click here for more – and will be covered in FIPP Insight.
The FIPP Insight newsletter includes case studies from FIPP publications including Innovations in Magazine Media, data from World Magazine Trends and news on FIPP Insight events – the new Innovation Forum and Digital Newsstand Forum, plus the FIPP Research Forum and Awards. It is distributed to more than 10,000 global media contacts.
