Forbes announces plans to launch Forbes Argentina

The new Spanish-language monthly edition, available in print and online, is scheduled to launch in November 2016.  It will be distributed throughout Argentina, followed by related live events and conferences at a later date.

Virginia Porcella, former editor of Emprende (Endeavor), Fortuna and BAE newspaper, will serve as Forbes Argentina’s editor. The editorial content of Forbes Argentina will have the editorial independence that Forbes is known for and will consist of local business news, commentary and features, as well as editorial content from Forbes magazines from around the world including the US, Mexico, Spain and Brazil.

“I feel honoured to relaunch Forbes Argentina. The region’s political and economic landscape is changing and is generating huge business opportunities in Argentina and Latin America as a whole,” said Alex Milberg, founder of GBM. “Our readers are entrepreneurs with a regional and global mindset, and we’re eager to partner up with the successful Forbes magazine editions in Brazil, Mexico and Spain.”

“We’re excited to partner with Global Brands Media to relaunch Forbes Argentina. This edition reestablishes our presence in Argentina at a time of new excitement in the economy there.  This is just the beginning of our strategy to expand in the important Latin American market,” said Mike Federle (pictured below), president and COO of Forbes Media.
