Kaya Media School of Magazines opens in Korea

Kaya Media Corporation, publisher of the Korean editions of Esquire, Harper’s BAZAAR, and Motor Trend, has announced the launch of the Kaya Media School of Magazines.

Situated on the campus of Yonsei University, Kaya Media School of Magazines’ mission is to meet the increasing demand for magazine editors and publishing related staff in the country.

The first class was held on 5 March, where 61 students registered to attend. The first semester includes one three-hour lecture per-week over 15 weeks. The entire second semester will be devoted to a hands-on creative workshop that will result in the completion of a mock magazine.

Lecturers at Kaya Media School of Magazines include editors, journalists, designers, advertisers and lawyers. Courses are held in the evenings, so to attract individuals already employed in the industry. Successful completion of the course will result in a certificate from the Kaya School of Magazine and Yonsei University.
