Thomas Cook brings back their travel mag from the 1850's, now online and in print

TheExcursionist.com and The Excursionist magazine aim to help customers inspire their next holiday.

The name concept dates back to 1851, when Thomas Cook himself published the first issue 10 years after organising his first excursion. Back then, it was the Cook's Exhibition Herald and Excursion Advertiser.

The magazine states that "over the next 88 years, the named was streamlined and the magazine grew, selling over 100,000 copies a month in the UK and with different editions produced in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia."

Now, The Excursionist invites its readers to keep in a holiday mood all year round. The magazine features ideas from winter sun holidays and weekend city breaks to "trips of a lifetime".
