Luma Works launches Storytime magazine in the UK
New magazine group Luma Works is to launch a children’s title in the UK on 10 September. Storytime magazine includes a mix of fairy tales, folk tales, fables, myths, legends, poetry and extracts from well-loved children’s books.
Storytime will be published monthly, with a cover price of £3.99 (€5). It will be sold in all major retailers and has also attracted interest from the US, where it will be stocked by Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million, as well as being distributed in Australia.
A digital edition of Storytime will be available through iTunes.
Leslie Coathup, director of Luma Works, said: “We’re immensely excited and proud to be launching Storytime, as we are offering something completely different to many other mass market children’s titles. Storytime is that rare thing – a children’s magazine that parents can enjoy too. We’re not relying on cover mounts – we have a no plastic toy policy. Instead we want to entice people with timeless tales told in a fun and engaging way, never-before-seen beautiful illustrations, and high production values.”
