MagazineCloner celebrates more than 1,000 branded magazine apps live on iOS

MagazineCloner is celebrating more than 1,000 branded magazines apps live on the Apple App Store since the launch of the company in early 2010

London-based MagazineCloner has achieved this number in record time, having only passed the 100 app mark in late 2011. The first apps launched in 2010 were those of Vitality Publishing, with titles including Women’s Fitness and Attitude, the milestone 1,000th app is Hobby Consolas, from Axel Springer España, which shows the international growth of the company.

Magazine Cloner’s iOS apps have also recently benefited from a major version update which has been excellently received, with average App Store reviews currently sitting at four stars. The upgrade was also a notable contributing factor to the publisher revenue increases that MagazineCloner reported for Q1 2013.

Patrick Knight, strategic development director, MagazineCloner said: “1,000 branded apps on iOS is a hugely significant milestone and to be the first to achieve this, even more so. In the three years since MagazineCloner began, we have witnessed huge change, and progress, in the digital publishing industry and we are delighted to be a part of this. The 1,000 app milestone, the launch of our latest build, 4.9, and the average 4.5* reviews which it has received here in the UK are testament to the efforts of the team here and our publishers who continue to provide fantastic content every issue, whether as replica editions, enhanced replicas or increasingly, ‘custom’ digital editions.”
