Politico launches subscription news service in Europe

Pro launches on 18 May and is modelled on the real-time policy-based news service in Washington. It will offer policy professionals intelligence on technology, health care and energy as it relates to Brussels and industries on the continent. The company says Pro is designed complement the existing offerings from the newly launched www.politico.eu, Politico Brussels Playbook and the weekly print edition.

Matthew Kaminski, Politico’s executive editor in Europe, said: “The team of policy experts we’ve assembled has the hunger and metabolism to break news, to give our subscribers information they don’t know, to write big pieces about what’s happening in different policy arenas at the national level and among EU institutions, and also to deliver real-time insight on news with the concision and speed that our readers need to do their job.”
