Radio Times podcast hits one million downloads

The Radio Times podcast has reached the impressive milestone of one million downloads in just 18 months.

Now it’s third series, the podcast, launched in late 2021 and hosted by Radio Times’ Kelly-Ann Taylor, features weekly interviews with the biggest names on TV, exploring their viewing habits and delving into their careers. Previous guests include Stephen Fry, Miriam Margolyes, KSI, Letitia Wright, Daniel Radcliffe, Helen Fielding, Kit Connor, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Parminder Nagra and James Nesbit.

Radio Times also produces a weekly companion podcast, Smart TV, giving expert guidance to the best TV and streaming recommendations for the coming week.

“Achieving one million downloads in 18 months is a fantastic achievement,” said Zoe Helme, Publishing Director at Radio Times. “With the explosion of streaming platforms, the choice of programmes is richer than it’s ever been before, so launching a podcast to hear from the biggest stars from the world of entertainment and offering the best guidance made perfect sense.

“The success of our award-winning podcast has enabled Radio Times to connect with a new generation of fans, expanding our brand’s footprint beyond traditional print, digital, and live events and into the audio realm.”

The Radio Times podcast is available every Tuesday and Smart TV lands every Friday on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and Acast.
